Two students of Coimbatore Institute of Technology S. Arul Karthick and K.M. Nikaran of B.E., Mechanical Engineering students have bagged the Consolation prize in the International Level PDA – Anti COVID – 19 online code Hackathon conducted by HKE Society’s PDA College of Engineering, Kalaburagi held on 27th and 28th April 2020.
The students had developed a portal which would address and solve the issues of common people and provide them their needs in the lockdown. Their portal focused on delivering three important kinds of services such as Groceries, Medical supplies and Educational assistance in the hotspots and remote areas. Their portal also included features like page for administration updates, order details, being bilingual, volunteer registration etc.
The Management, Dr V Selladurai, Principal of CIT; Dr K Marimuthu, Head of the Department; Faculty and Students of the Department of Mechanical Engineering congratulated the winners for their hard work and innovative ideas.
