Casagrand Foundation provides scholarships to 37 Covai Women-students

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, Casagrand Foundation announced an initiative of ‘Providing scholarship to 200 deserving women students’ across Coimbatore, Chennai & Bengaluru. This initiative was launched on Monday and scholarships were handed over to 37 women students from 9 different colleges at Coimbatore.

Renowned educationalist Dr.Manimekalai Mohan, Managing Trustee and Correspondent, SSVM Institutions and P.K.Karthikeyan, Senior VP, Casagrand-Coimbatore Zone handed over the scholarships to the respective colleges at the event.

The initiative has been conceptualized to provide financial support to bright women students in order to fulfill their dreams. It has been observed that many college students discontinue their studies due to lack of funds; it is a humble step from Casagrand Foundation to provide support to those students so they can complete their studies and be successful in life.

Casagrand had earlier reached out to the colleges at Coimbatore seeking to identify deserving students who needed support for education. The response was phenomenal. After consultation with the colleges, students have been chosen on the basis of their academic performances and family income. All the selected students belong to humble families. The scholarships will be used towards their semester fees and it will be directly transferred to the respective college authorities. Currently these students are pursuing courses like BCA, B.Com, B.Sc etc, at Kovai Kalaimagal College of Arts and Science, Sri Ramalinga Sowdambigai College of Arts and Science, Texcity Arts & Science College, Shri Kumaran College of Arts & Science, Pioneer College of Arts and Science, Kongunadu Arts and Science College, VLB CAS and Nirmala College for Women.
