TNQ Technologies, a knowledge process outsourcing organization recently completed three years of successful operations under the India BPO Promotion Scheme (IBPS). The company was the first beneficiary of this scheme, launched under the aegis of the Digital India Programme by the Ministry of Electronics & Information Technology (MeitY).

Today, TNQ Technologies employs more than 700 people in Coimbatore, of which 80% are young graduates. Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), the executing agency of IBPS, had allocated 100 seats each in two phases to TNQ Technologies after scrutinizing its application.

The scheme provides financial assistance of up to 50% of the total expenditure (Capital / Operational) incurred on permissible items, with an upper ceiling of Rs. 1 lakh per BPO/ITeS seat. Furthermore, special incentives are also provided to units that employ women and specially-abled persons, those who generate employment beyond the target, and for partnership with local entrepreneurs.

“The IBPS initiative of STPI has supported our strategic expansion to Coimbatore. A spate of infrastructural developments and availability of talent pool in the city have further contributed to our growth in Coimbatore”, said V.Sriganesh, DGM, TNQ Technologies.
