Sangeetha said ” strategy and perseverance are very important while preparing for Group Exams. I would recommend an integrated preparation model and not to separately study for Prelims, Mains and Interview.”

“Normally we would feel that Mains is the toughest among the three but if you could prepare yourself to write 2 pages for each topic in the prescribed syllabus for mains, then you can clear it.Test practice is very important. Only when you pratice it, you can improve on your articulation of ideas.”

Swetha said that her success formula was “85% hard work, 10%luck and 5%contacts – support from teachers, friends and institute”.

“Earlier there was oscillation whether it was UPSC or TNPSC but I decided to go with TNPSC and never changed. Then I asked for one to one guidance from Sankar IAS Academy. I asked it and I received and their support was immense”

Swetha also recommend preparing for prelims, Mains and interview side by side. She motivated them by saying “if an aspirant is failing for 3rd or 4th time, then there is something in his/her preparation that needs to be corrected.”

She advised them not be afraid of Mains but at the sametime she recommended not to be overconfident, as experts will evaluate their content and if it is not precise, then the answers would lose marks. She also said the importance of time management while writing exams.

“My parents are the biggest support to success. They didn’t feel that I was studying for long without making it to the top. When parents motivate us, then we can stay strong in our aspirations.

I decided that I should clear and get a job and that’s how I moved up”, ends Swetha.

Both the achievers answered the questions of aspirants and after that, orientation about the new syallabus for group exams were given to aspirants.
