The Coimbatore District Small Scale Industries Association, CODISSIA will organize a Coimbatore book festival 2019 from July 19th to 28th in the CODISSIA at Coimbatore. This event is being organized with the support of BAPASI ,the Buyers And Publishers Association of South India.
The festival confers the Lifetime Achiever Award on experienced writers recognizing their contribution. This award carries prize money of 1 lakh and a citation. This year the award is to be conferred on the writer Vannanilavan.
From this year onwards, literary awards are to be conferred for young writers in various categories such as fiction, non- fiction and poetry writing. The award will carry a prize money of Rs.25,000 and a citation.
These awards will be conferred on July 19th at the Book festival organised at the CODISSIA grounds said , Vijay Anand, Chairman of the Coimbatore Book festival.
