Marking the World Alcohol Awareness Month,the Department of Psychiatry of Karpagam Hospital, Otthakalmadapam kicked off a Strong Alcohol Awareness campaign among the public.
Dr.Uma Maheshwari and Dr.Jeyan of the department spearheaded the campaign.
They shared more interesting facts about drug addiction and how that changes as a disease which they cannot cure themselves. They advised the family members and others to treat this as a disease and consult a doctor who can help them to get complete cure like other diseases.
The doctors pointed out that there are some patients now at hospital who have received complete recovery from alcohol addiction.
