PSGTech 1998’ Batch Alumni Donates 70 Lakh Endowment Fund

The alumni from the undergraduate batch of 1998 at PSG College of Technology came together for a heartwarming reunion. The event was presided by L. Gopalakrishnan, the Managing Trustee of the PSG group, who expressed his delight in hosting the gathering of these esteemed former students. The alumni demonstrated their commitment to the institution’s growth by generously donating a significant endowment fund of 70 lakhs. The fund will be utilized to support the tuition fees of deserving and needy students, ensuring that more individuals have access to quality education.

The batch of ’98 boasts an impressive group of alumni, including startup founders, entrepreneurs, and senior executives at leading corporates. Many of them are social entrepreneurs dedicated to giving back to society through organizations serving essential causes like education. Notably, a member of this batch had previously sponsored an entire computer science lab, which now operates efficiently within the college.

The reunion witnessed the incredible participation of 243 alumni along with their families, commemorating a silver jubilee celebration. Mylsamy, the President of the alumni association, expressed his joy in welcoming such a large gathering, stating that this was one of the biggest gatherings that any of the reunion events have seen in the recent past. A third of the attendees travelled from different countries worldwide to be a part of this cherished reunion.
