The Rotary Club of Coimbatore Aakruthi launched their global project, “Threlakshaa,” aimed at empowering tribal women and single mothers in Tamil Nadu. The initiative involves providing 600 sewing machines and comprehensive training to these women. This was inaugurated by District Governor Rtn Rajmohan Nair at Singapore Plaza in Coimbatore.
It was attended by Project Chairman and Sponsor Rtn AKS Leema Rose Martin, Vice Chairman Rtn Kavitha, District Director Rtn Mylsamy, Vice DRFC Rtn Senthil Rajagopal, Assistant Governor Rtn Sanjay shah, President Rtn Vidhya Ramesh and other Rotary officials. The project aims to foster self-sufficiency and economic independence among the participants. The event highlighted the dedication of the Rotary community to women empowerment.
