Tamil Nadu Agricultural University signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Zytex Biotech Private Limited, Mumbai, recently for facilitating Postgraduate students’ research through sponsorships. Zytex is a Mumbai based Agricultural Sciences Company engaged in the business of research, manufacturing & selling probiotics, enzymes, biopolymers, bio agricultural products. Whereas, the TNAU is mandated to teaching, research and extension in the various areas of Agriculture in the state of Tamil Nadu. Both the parties desired to join hands mutually for academic collaborations.
Tamizh Vendan, Registrar, TNAU and Prasad H. Pawar, Research Scientist, Zytex Biotech Private Limited, Mumbai signed the agreement and exchanged in presence of Geethalakshmi, Vice-Chancellor, TNAU.
‘ZYTEX will sponsor scholarships to the students of TNAU under the “ZYTEX Science Leaders Scholarship Program” aimed at creating greater opportunities for aspiring students to develop their aptitude in agricultural research. Moreover, the selected students from TNAU will be provided with internship and industry mentorship by ZYTEX for their overall development in addition to opportunity for pursuing career in ZYTEX’ as detailed by Senthil, Dean (SPGS), TNAU. The delegates from both the parties attended the signing ceremony.
