CMS College organized an International Seminar on Cyber Security

Department of Computer Applications of CMS College of Science & Commerce, Coimbatore organized an International Seminar on “Emerging Trends in Cyber Security” on Wednesday. Gurucharan Singh, Faculty member for Cyber Crime, Central Detective Training Institute, Govt. of India, Ministry of Home Affairs, Chandigarh was the chief guest. The special guest was Gokul Vasudev, Co-founder & CEO, Sr.Cyber Security/Advisor, United Arab Emirates.

The Chairman of CMS Educational and Charitable Trust, Rajagopalan, and Gurucharan, along with other dignitaries released the Newsletter of the Department. Nearly 500+ students from various institutions participated.

The Guests shared their views on how to prevent, detect, and protect against cybercrimes and also detailed the cybercrime detection techniques using data mining. They listed various Government and Private sectors that offer jobs for cybercrime investigators and cyber forensic experts such as NIA, International Bureau (IB), Cabinet Secretariat, CBI, All State Police, BSF, Infosys, and Wipro. The Joint Secretary Gereesan, Treasurer Ravikumar, Principal Balakrishnan, Vice-Principal Sujatha, Head of the Department Jospehine Stella and other Staff & Students were present in the event.
