The Department of English, Sri Krishna Adithya College of Arts and Science, Coimbatore signed A Memorandum of Understanding with the English Language Teachers’ Association of India (ELTAI-CIETTA) in the presence of Justin James, President- ELTAI-CIETTA, Palaniammal, Principal of SKACAS, Swapna, Head of the Department and the Faculty members on Friday.
This MoU aims to foster students’ language skills as well as expose them to a wider range of language learning practices.
Following that, an International Seminar was organized on the topic of “Self-Determined Language Learning Strategies’. The Resource person Justin James addressed on the Principles of Heutagogy, which is the study of self-determined learning, and the challenges that learners face during the process. Furthermore, he stressed the importance of facilitating higher-order thinking in students as a means of self-learning.
