KASC – Institution’s Innovation Council in association with Women’s Business Network organized ‘Tamil Nadu Start-up Conclave & Expo–2023’ on 10 Feb, 2023. The conclave started with welcome address by B Divya Priya, Innovation Ambassador – Ministry of Education. Naveen Manickam, Founder–WBN delivered the inaugural address on ‘Start-up Essentials’. An exclusive Fireside Chat with Aakas Sadasivam revolved around ‘Innovation and Funding’. His entrepreneurial journey, idea and innovation, basic need to raise-up funds, approaching an investor, angel investor & venture Capitalist were the limelight.
An Entrepreneurial Panel Discussion was also held with Latha Azhaguvelu, B Divya Priya, V Ramya Nagarajan and Janaki Sundarraj as the panel experts. They held discussions on the reasons for failure of start-ups, role of incubation centres, digitalization and its impact, customer-centric approach and various Governmental Schemes and subsidies. Around 800 students and 18 entrepreneurs participated and got benefited from the conclave. Stalls on Millets food and Terracotta Jewelry have also been exhibited.
