More than 90 NRIs left unoccupied at PM Modi’s inaugural

PM Narendra Modi’s ‘Pravasi Bharatiya Divas’ inaugural in Indore witnessed chaos after the hall fell short to occupy the NRI delegates with valid passes.

Expressing dissatisfaction they said it felt ‘insulted’. Where one of the delegates mentioned that if they had to view the virtual inaugural they would have stayed home rather than giving their physical presence.

In this regard, CM Shivraj Singh Chouhan extended his apologies stating, “There is no shortage of love for you in our hearts”.

Reportedly, about 3,500 NRI have registered with a payment of $100 each. But the organizers planned the venue to occupy 2000 seats. Subsequently, the hall over crowed even before the arrival of the Prime Minister.
