1300+ Indians rescued from Ukraine-Russian War so far!

Under Operation Ganga, the Indian government has brought home more than 1300 Indian students with six flights. The seventh evacuation flight carrying 182 Indian Citizens from Ukraine arrived in Mumbai on Tuesday.

182 Indian citizens from Ukraine have been brought back to India, by the seventh evacuation flight as part of Government of India’s Operation Ganga. The special Air India Express flight landed at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai today morning. Union Minister for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Narayan Rane received the evacuees, most of them students, at the airport.

The Minister said the government is committed to repatriating all Indians from Ukraine. He assured the students that their friends and colleagues in Ukraine will also be evacuated soon.

As the Ukraine-Russian war intensifies, the Indian Government is taking measures to speed up the rescue operation by deploying the Indian Air Force to join the evacuation efforts.

Reports and sources shared that IAF may use the C-17 Aircrafts in the mission. This particular aircraft has the capabilities to fly a greater distance carrying around 400 passengers.

Using them in the rescue op., will be an advantage for India. Many Indian students in Ukraine have asked the Government to help them come home ASAP, and some sources shared that students are finding it hard to get food, and are engulfed by fear.
