Bharathiar University celebrated the 75th Independence Day of India on Sunday at the University premises. Prof. P.Kaliraj, the Vice Chancellor of the university hoisted the flag in the presence of Members of the Syndicate, Senate, University administration and staff.
In his address he spoke about the efforts taken by govt to control covid-19 in our State and particularly in our district. He underlined the contribution of university in covid management by vaccination camp and setting up covid treatment ward facility.
He expressed his gratitude to all the stakeholders of the university for making it achieve State, National and International honors in rankings among other great universities.
The VC quoted Dr.B.R.Ambedkar “Freedom of Mind is the real freedom. A person whose mind is not free though he may not be in chains, is a slave, not a free man.” He said the university’s stakeholders will work in harmony with this motto and help it reach sky high.
