KPR Mill employees turn graduates, get ready for placement

The final year students of KPR Women Employees Educational Division of KPR Mill Limited, belonging to various degree programs have started receiving placement training in a phased manner.

KPR Mill Ltd gives employment opportunity to women from rural region, and also provides them free education if they have discontinued it owing to poverty.

Through various educational programs (upto college degree) that are recognized by the government, the organization renders education. More than 30000 such women from poor financial background have received education, employment and are now empowered.

Apart from imparting education, the management of KPR Mill Ltd led by K.P.Ramasamy, the Chairman, also takes measures to provide placement training to these students.

Everything is rendered at free of cost, as the goal is to elevate the downtrodden, and make them value adders to society.

The training sessions for 600 graduands of this year has commenced recently. The training duration is 45 days, after that they shall be facing interviews.

Already 100+ graduands have been placed in esteemed companies like Tata Electricals, Tech Mahindra, Just Dial, etc.

The third batch is now getting trained under dedicated faculty of KPR WEED. The inaugural ceremony of this training commenced on Tuesday.

The Chairman commended the graduates, for successfully completing their collegiate degree. He said “physical strain is generally absent among students pursuing education in the usual way. But you all are unique; you work for 8 hours a day and have prepared hard to complete your degree programs. This is incredible.”

“Getting placed in reputed companies is a dream for all students. You have wonderful opportunity ahead. Utilize these trainings that is offered in these 45 days develop communication skills, etiquettes and confidence.”

He recalled some of the valuable alumni who are now IAS, IPS,IFS and IRS officers. “Ms.Tamil Oviya was one such student coming from a humble background. She made use of the opportunity, pursued IAS via KPR IAS Academy and now she has become the Deputy Collector of Kolkata. There are many such people like her. I want you all to achieve higher levels like them”, he added.
