The Regional Transport Office of Coimbatore Central with the support of Bus Owners Association, Coimbatore has arranged Shuttle Service for patients discharged from CODISSIA Covid Care Center.
Two buses have been stationed outside the center to provide transportation facility to the patients since Tuesday, and the service would be available till Sunday (June 6th)
One bus will pick patients from Codissia to Gandhipuram via. Hopes, Vilankuruchi,Cheran Ma Nagar, Koundampalayam, Thudiyalur and Ganapathy.
Another one will pick patients from Codissia to Gandhipuram via. Hopes, ESI, Singanallur, Trichy Road, Ramanathapuram, Sungam,Ukkadam, Railway Station, Collector Office, LIC and end at Gandhipuram.
“The travel is provided at free of cost with the help of BOA Coimbatore. Depending upon the number of patients getting discharged from the center and their location, we will consider increasing the buses and adding additional routes. We felt that this would help the poor who cannot afford to arrange their own transport facility” J.K.Baskaran, RTO, Coimbatore Central said.
