Vanathi takes effort to help 800+ people get PM-JAY coverage

National President of BJP Women’s Wing Vanathi Srinivasan sought the support of Coimbatore District Collector S.Nagarajan on Thursday in obtaining PM’s Health Insurance Scheme coverage for 876 people from different parts of Coimbatore.

Kovai Makkal Seva Centre, an NGO run by Vanathi Srinivasan had conducted Modi Camp in the month of February, 2021 to convey people about the benefits of PM’s Health Insurance Scheme.

During the camp, some of the participants conveyed that they have not registered with Ayushman Bharat – Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY). Vanathi and her team had instructed the people to meet with the respective Village Administrative Officers (VAO), fill the PM’s insurance scheme application and obtain consent from the officer.

876 people from Coimbatore South Constituency and other parts of the districts brought the application form to the Seva center with proper consent from VAOs and all other related documents.

On behalf of all the 800+ people, Vanathi approached Collector S.Nagarajan today, and submitted their forms and appealed him to make them beneficiaries of PM-JAY.
