The Civil Engineering Department of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET) signed a MoU with National Highways Authority of India recently.
This MoU facilitates exchange of knowledge between the industry and academia, and also this tie-up, will bring together the two entities to focus on enhancing the infrastructure of NH 948 – Coimbatore to Sathyamangalam road stretch, that has been adopted by the college.
Through a press release, the Principal conveyed “the adoption of the road stretch facilitates the faculty, researchers and students of the college to familiarize the latest trends in the highway sector and also for conducting research activities and to suggest solution to improve the quality and safety measures of the adopted stretch.”
“It will also help in enhancing the laboratory facilities and for developing additional laboratory at the institute by NHAI. This enables the authorized faculty, researchers and students periodic investigations on the adopted stretch, give suitable suggestions for improving the efficiency of existing highway.”
