India to receive first-batch of 100 ventilators donated by USA next week

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump spoke through phone on Tuesday for 25 minutes. The White House said in a readout of the President’s call that USA will get ready by next week to ship the first batch of 100 ventilators it had donated to India.

The two leaders have discussed about important topics that includes COVID-19 Response, Regional Security Issues (India-China LAC) and G7 Summit. Trump is reportedly interested in having keen interest to have Prime Minister Modi attend the next G7 Summit to be held in USA.

US President also expressed wish to include other important nations like India in the G7. During the phone call, both leaders have been reported by The White House to have discussed about the need for reforms in World Health Organization.

The ventilators that USA has donated will be very useful in treating critical COVID-19 patients in India. India is now the 7th worst hit nation. So far 2 lakh + patients have been affected and death toll is close to 6000.
