The World’s Richest Man’s visit to India is giving a lot to this country than expected, although thought different by some. Jeff Bezos, Founder & CEO announced that there will be one million new jobs in India by 2025 through investments in technology, infrastructure and its logistics network.
Apart from announcing an investment of 1 Billion USD in the country, the E-Comm behemoth has said that they will roll out a new fleet of e-rickshaws in India for delivering products.
Today (20.1.2020), tweeted : Hey, India. We’re rolling out our new fleet of electric delivery rickshaws. Fully electric. Zero carbon. #ClimatePledge. Amazon also mentioned that there will be a fleet of 10,000 electric vehicles in Indian Roads by 2025.
The Business Today mentioned that this year Amazon will operate these vehicles in 20 cities that includes Coimbatore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Delhi NCR, Pune and Nagpur.
