“Wherever our attention goes, our energy flows”

Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidhyalaya organized a Special  Talk by Dr.Mohit Dayal Gupta, Professor of Cardiology & Interventional Cardiologist, MS Cardiac Science, Cardiologist: Parliament of India, Annexe at WelcomHotel ITC, Coimbatore on 29.12.2019.

The speaker said “It is good to work for others but it is equally important to empower your ourselves.” He asked the audience about the last time they had a human-moment ; an authentic psychological encounter that happens with two people ( children, Parents, or anyone we love) in the same physical space. He pointed out that such bond is missing. He cautioned that lack of human-moment is sure to damage our emotional health.

“When there were no technological connections, we remained connected still. But today those human-moments are lost”, he added. He said at the present, due to much technological advances, we are focused on fulfilling just our job’s tasks and targets. He said our attention is not on anything else.

“Wherever our attention goes, our energy flows and life grows in that direction.  Where energy flows, our life grows in that direction”. He said our thoughts, actions and personality are determined by what we pay attention to.  Attention is like giving a slice of our valuable life. He cautioned that our health and spiritual life have become less of a concern for us because of our ego to accomplish the earthly tasks of our life. We say we are busy and we don’t have time for other important social and psychological part of life, he opined.

The speaker’s speech aimed at unravelling the mysteries and powers of the mind and also focused on improving one’s inner personality.
