PG & Research Department of Social Work, Hindusthan College of Arts & Science, Coimbatore (HICAS) in collaboration with National Institute of Social Defense, Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, New Delhi organized a “Three Day Training Program on Counseling Skills” for stakeholders of Social Defense Issues between18th and 20th December, 2019.
Daniel Victor, Managing Director of Vitae International Accounting Services Pvt Ltd, was the Chief Guest for the Inaugural. Daniel Victor shared about his precious son who was affected by Cerebral Palsy and how being a father and a parent he wholeheartedly accepted the responsibility of raising and caring for his needs. He shared that despite his son’s disability his son was able to contribute to the world by leaving a message- “disability in me is not a concern but the mutilation of the society is the real concern”.
Mr.Victor stated that everyone has a responsibility to care for those who are in need regardless of education and the very basic element for all is humanness and we need to realize that unless we bring about a change in us, it’s meaningless to try bringing a change in others.
