Automotive Styling Workshop held at KCT

Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore organized a programme “Oru Naal! Oru Car! Oru Kanavu!”, Automotive styling workshop in association with Motor Vikatan. Department of Automobile Engineering and Kumaraguru Centre for Research and Innovation (KCIRI) jointly conducted this programme on 27th July 2019 Saturday. The inaugural function of the workshop Started at 9.30 am Dr. S. John Alexis, Professor and Head Department of Automobile Engineering  delivered the welcome address. G.Sathyaseelan, Vice President & Head Design, Ashok Leyland was the Resource Person and Chief Guest for the function. 

He spoke on the topic Why we Design? and emphasized the scope and need for Design and styling indigenously in India as the country has maximum youngsters good at software.  He spoke on digital sculpting Computer Aided Surfacing (CAS) using Alias software and gave a hands on training on sketching Porsche 911 model car.

Balamurugan, Chief Magazine editor, Anandha Vikatan, Chennai offered felicitation on behalf of the program sponsor Motor Vikatan.  Around 125 participants from various schools, colleges, Industry and public have registered and actively participated in this workshop.
