KPRIET celebrates Annual Day 2022

Your parents are your Gods and your nation is your pride. Love them both unconditionally and give them your support, said Tamil Literary Scholar Solomon Pappaiah at the Annual Day of KPR Institute of Engineering and Technology (KPRIET).

“When Mahakavi Bharathiar sung ‘Melt the iron, and make machines… Do thousands trades on top of this World’, he should have kept his hopes high on Engineers a lot,”he expressed.

Pappaiah was one of the many guests to grace the Annual Day event. Chairman of KPR Group KP Ramaswamy, Dr.RV Ramani, Founder, Sankara Eye Foundation, GNV Subba Rao
Global Head, Quality & Operations, Industrial Automation Business Area, ABB Global Industries, faculty, students and parents took part in the celebrations.

Principal of the college M.Akila in her Annual report shared about the various academic and administrative recognition bestowed upon the college by national, international and government agencies, the various achievements made by students, the academic and research collaborations made by the college in the last 1 year, and she termed this growth of the college as ‘Phenomenal’.

KP Ramaswamy in his address underlined that colleges are not just buildings but a place where teachers and students come together to accomplish greatness. He urged the students to chase their destiny and improve continuously.

Dr.RV Ramani wanted all the young minds at KPRIET to have a dream and be passionate about what they want to achieve. He wanted them to keep their body and spirit prepared for the journey that is ahead, and work hard to make their dream come true. He then suggested them to excel in their journey and not stop to rejoice in their victory.Most of all he wanted them to be compassionate people who would give others a helping hand.

Pappaiah, in his address said a Life with achievements is valued and praised. One shouldn’t just be born, live and fade away, as it is for the ordinary. He wanted them to be unique and extraordinary. He wanted them to be achievers.

He also echoed the words of Swami Vivekananda; ‘It is a privilege to serve mankind, for this is the worship of God. God is here, in all these human souls. He is the soul of man’. He suggested that knowing one’s religion and its values is important but at the same time one should also know that all religions preach their followers to serve the poor and the underprivileged.
