Leading Multiplex operator Miraj Cinemas has partnered with Karpagam Theaters, Coimbatore to launch its first multiplex in Tamil Nadu with the release of the much awaited Vijay-starrer ‘Master’ and STR-starrer ‘Eeswaran’.
Named SRK-Miraj, this multiplex is located next to Cambodia Mills, Kamakshipuram, Singanallur.
Amit Sharma, MD, Miraj Cinemas and N.Sivaprakasan, MD, Karpagam Theaters, SRK Cinemas jointly announced the launch on Monday.
The five screen property is the 50th multiplex for Miraj, and it has a total seating capacity of 1257.
All the screens are Dolby Atmos and 3D Projection enabled, with 2 of them featuring laser projections. Amit said that the image quality from these projectors will be significantly higher than the normal projections.
All the seats are push-back and cushion enabled, and the legs-space provided here enables easy movement of patrons.
Also, every individual seat will have a dedicated QR Code for scanning. So when the patrons want to have their food brought to their seats, it could be done by the staff a lot more easier and hassle-free.
Food & Refreshments are going to be on a different level here at SRK Miraj as the live kitchen called ‘Chef’s Corner’ will provide a multicusine experience.
In regards to movie industry, Amit said that Tamil Nadu is setting an example for rest of the country, and with the launch of Vijay’s Master, the whole India is waiting to know how the patrons’ reaction is going to be towards cinemas.
Sivaprakasan and Amit Sharma said that moviebuffs from all walks of life will be able to enjoy the experience of this brand new multiplex.
Regarding future plans, it was conveyed that 4 new properties are going to arrive in Chennai, while plans to expand operations in Coimbatore are also in discussion.
