Major Indian cities under Lockdown Mode

Total cases rise to 415

India has confirmed 415 Covid-19 cases and counting,the nation is going under lockdown to prevent the spread.

Three districts of Tamil Nadu – Chennai, Kanchipuram and Erode have been suggested by the Central Government to be put under lockdown and Chief Minister Edapaddi K.Palaniswamy is holding a meeting to discuss on it.

Andhra Pradesh government has announced lockdown till March 31. CM Jegan Mohan Reddy announced that a monetary relief of Rs.1000 each for poor families will be given along with the free ration during this lockdown period.

A partial lockdown has been imposed on Kerala which has 67 confirmed cases so far. Orders about Karnataka’s lockdown status will reportedly come out soon. So far Bengaluru urban, Bengaluru rural, Mangaluru, Mysuru, Kalaburgi, Dharwad, Chikkaballapur, Kodagu and Belagav are known to have gone under lockdown.

Delhi, the capital of India will be under lockdown from 9 P.M. on Monday and will last till March 31. Section 144 will be imposed. Maharashtra came under complete lockdown since Sunday midnight. Several people were found to have violated the Janata Curfew in Mumbai and this led to total lockdown. With Maharashtra leading with 89 confirmed cases,  the State leads in India.

Haryana CM Manohar Lal Khattar announced that 7 districts in the state- Faridabad, Gurugram, Rohtak, Jhajjar, Soniapat, Panipat and Panchkula will be placed under lockdown till March 31.

Uttarkhand will extend the Janata Curfew till March 31. CM Trivendra Singh announced that essentials like food and medicine will be available for all.  Punjab has announced that till March 31, it will be under lockdown as the state has 13 confirmed COVID-19 cases so far.
