Every time we hear the name ‘Bharathi’ , without our knowledge we ourselves become boosted up. Bharathi is a name that stands for courage, patriotism and poems.To celebrate such a honorable person’s birthday, Rotary Club of Coimbatore Heritage will be conducting a poem recitation competition featuring Bharathiyar’s Poems on December 11th, Wednesday.
Anyone can participate in this event, there is no age limit. To participate in this event one should send a voice record of his favorite poem of Bharathiyar as a whole poem or in part, recited by himself not exceeding more than 3 minutes in voice recording must be sent to the WhatsApp number 9787748087 before December 7th. Name and address must be attached and should be sent with the recording.
Best voice and poem reciters will be selected for finals by a group of judges which also includes few Tamil professors. The selected members must perform the same poem on December 11th at the Brookfields Mall. The best 10 people who recite the Bharathiyar poems beautifully without errors will be rewarded with prizes. The school students who participate in this event will be awarded with certificates.
