The Department of Biochemistry (PG & Research) organized a special talk on 10.10.2019. The Resource person for the function was Dr.R.Nirmaladevi, Assistant Professor in the Department of Biochemistry, Biotechnology and Bioinformatics, Avinashilingam Institute for Home Science and Higher Education for Women, Coimbatore.
Dr. V. Chinnusamy, Chief Executive Officer of the College gave the Presidential Address. In his address, he asked the students to exhibit their talents and utilize the opportunities available and excel in the field of stem cell research. In her special lecture, Dr.R.Nirmaladevi spoke on ‘Stem Cells as Regenerative Medicine’. In her address, she spoke about the basics and recent advancements in the field of stem cell research; Students should realize the importance of knowledge about stem cells and carry forward the adhered knowledge by validating them scientifically in the field of stem cell research and benefit to our society.
Dr.M.Nithya Devi, Associate Professor and Dr.Kalaiselvi Assistant Professor, Department of Biochemistry (PG) combinedly organized the special talk. A total of 110 participants comprising of Undergraduate students, Postgraduate students, Research Scholars and faculty of Biochemistry attended the guest lecture.
