KMCH provides exposure to medics on handling equipment

The two day National Workshop (MedZEST 2019) on “ A Forum for Hands on Training and Quality Control of Medical Equipment” jointly organized by the Department of Biomedical Engineering of Dr. N.G.P. Institute of Technology in association with the Department of Biomedical Engineering Kovai Medical Center and Hospital (KMCH) during 29th  and 30th August, 2019.
It was inaugurated by Dr. Thavamani D Palaniswami, Secretary, KMCH  on 29th Aug 2019. Dr. S. Prabakar, Head of Department, Dr. N.G.P Institute of Technology welcomed all participants who came from across the country.

The objective of the workshop was to provide a useful forum for the promulgation, introduction and exchange of information and knowledge about training, fixing, maintenance and Quality control of medical equipment.

The sessions were handled by experts from The Advanced medical systems Inc, Olympus medical systems India, Schiller India private limited and Smith medical. Divya, Product Specialist from Schiller India private limited and team gave hands on training on CPR. Saravanan M (Area Sales Manager), from Smith medical explained about the syringe pump and infusion pump.

Sathish Mohana Sundharam (Service Manager, Support & Trainee) from The Advance medical systems elaborated on Surgical Diathermy and finally,  Arun (Service Engineer) and  Praveen (Senior Engineer) from Olympus medical systems, India  explained about Endoscope and their working.

The Valedictory of the event was held on “A forum for hands on training and quality control of Medical Equipments MedZEST’19 with a valedictory address by Dr. Nalla G Palaniswami, Chairman, KMCH, Dr. K. Porkumaran, Principal, Dr. NGP Institute of technology on 30th August 2019.
