Tamil Nadu Agricultural University and KMCH, Coimbatore jointly organized an awareness programme on Organ Donation on 15.07.2023 at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University campus. Nearly 600 Under Graduate students from Agriculture, Horticulture, Agricultural Engineering and Agricultural Management have participated.
Maragatham, Dean, Centre for Students Welfare, TNAU has delivered the welcome address and offered introduction remarks on the awareness programme. Doctors from KMCH, Coimbatore ViswakumarPrabakaran, Consultant HPB & Multi Organ Transplant Surgeon and ArulrajRamakrishnan, Consultant Hepatalogist & Endoscopist created awareness among students through facts, figures and motivational videos. Students interacted with the Doctors and clarified their doubts regarding various aspects of organ donation. After the awareness lecture, all the participants of this programme signed in the banner as a gesture of awareness on organ donation. NSS unit of TNAU has made arrangements for the awareness programme.
