PSG Allied Health Sciences 1st Graduation Ceremony

The first Graduation Ceremony of the PSG Allied Health Sciences program was held on Thursday at PSG IMSR Auditorium. Jeyachandran, Professor & Head, Biochemistry, I/c, AHS Program welcomed the gathering. The Chief Guest of the program was Prakash, Consultant Perfusionist and Head, Department of Clinical Perfusion, Narayana Hrudayalaya Institute of Cardiac Sciences, Bangalore. He emphasized the need for a teamwork approach and requested the students to keep up with the latest advancements, both in knowledge and skill domains.

The Managing Trustee Gopalakrishnan presided over the function.  He highlighted that India’s healthcare industry is expected to grow to 4000 lakh crore rupees in size by 2025. Offering this felicitation, the Principal of the Institute Subbarao said that 70% of new jobs in health care in the future would be for nurses, skilled technicians, and technologists.

Banumathi, Director, PSG Vishnugranthi, who initiated the Allied Health Sciences program requested the graduates to consider service as a priority.   Manicka Vasuki Professor of Anatomy, Co-ordinator, AHS Program delivered the vote of thanks. About 110 graduates received their degree certificates.
