PSG Institute of Management is conducting the AIMS Week of Management program from August 1st -7th for its students at the Convention Hall located inside the College premises. Themed Vruksha 2018, the program saw a short video of the works done by PSG students during the previous years and presented this year’s agenda which includes First Aid Awareness, Go Green, No Food Waste campaign, Cancer Awareness and Eye Donation to name a few.
The Chief Guest on the occasion was Karthikeya Sivasenapathy, Managing Trustee at Senaapathy, Kangayam Cattle Research Foundation. He was introduced by Dr. Vijaya, Director I/C PSGIM. The Vote of Thanks was delivered by Siva Shankari from 1st Year PGDM.
Dr. Vijaya, Director of I/C PSGIM spoke highly about Karthikeya Sivasenapathy on how he has been featured in print media, television, books and the list goes on. He is one of those individuals who is actively involved in promoting Indian Culture and played an active role towards reversing the law against Jallikattu. He exposed international students to experience what it is like to live in Indian villages. She also welcomed the faculty, staff and students. She asked students to take up the week long activities seriously because there are managers in the making and need to be socially responsible.
The Chief Guest in his address stated it has always been a pleasure coming to PSG IM while stating that it’s his third visit to the institution. He said as Management students it is very important to have a clear understanding of worrying about others and not just about thinking of our own self’s. He cited the example of Tata as the best Corporate Business Leader. He didn’t forget to mention a word of praise about the PSG family by saying it was a generous thought to divide the family property into five rather than four, and it is because of this noble thought that PSG & SONS CHARITY could be set up paving the way for great institutions like PSG which has alumni association not just in India but also abroad. The name and fame for PSG family comes from the institutions they run.
