New Administrative Panel of CEBACA takes charge

CEBACA will focus more on enhancing Engineering Students’ skills

“Engineering Students may have received less skill training last year due to the disruption caused by the pandemic.”

“CEBACA renders skill training to students, and this year a separate team will be formed to see that better skill training is rendered to engg.students,” said SG Swaminathan the newly installed President of Coimbatore Builders And Contractor Association (CEBACA)

He shared this at the installation of new Administrative Panel of CEBACA.

The new office bearers are SG Swaminathan, President, J.Sagayaraj, S.P.Ramanathan, Hon.Secretary, R.Senthil, Hon. Treasurer, P.Ravichandran, Hon.Joint Secretary and J Sagayaraj, President-Elect. These members will hold office till 2023.

C.Balasubramanian, President, Indian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Coimbatore was the Chief Guest of the Installation ceremony.

Jalandhar Reddy, Exec.Director, KNR Constructions, Hyderabad, Soundara Rajan, CEO, Falcon Toolings, Coimbatore were the Guest of Honors.

Outgoing President V.Palaniswaamy thanked his team of office bearers and CEBACA members who had rendered support and cooperation during his tenure as President.

Swaminathan, after the installation, shared some of the goals he has in mind for CEBACA to accomplish. He said that a collaboration would be made with Indian Plumbing Association to share how water could be efficiently used.

Further environmental activities will be made by continuing the association with ISHA Foundation, and Save Soil movement will be supported.

Industrial visits will be arranged for members to know more about innovative construction methods.

Awareness session about Green Building, Recycling in construction sector & Tax will be held.

At the event, latest edition of CEBACA Times was released by the Charter President of CEBACA Narayanan and it was received by C.Balasubramanian.

C.Balasubramanian appreciated the activities made by CEBACA so far in its 10+ years. “CEBACA not only gets appreciated for its commendable works done in the industry but also recognises and honors talented and selfless individuals”, he said.

The Chief Guest then suggested CEBACA to get linked to financially supportive schemes like NEED Scheme, and he also urged the members to convey the importance of leading a business to the next generation, as many aim to be employees in US,UK etc. He wanted them to elaborate them the power in being entrepreneurs.

Jalandhar Reddy and Soundararajan offered felicitation. Jalandhar shared that regardless of a builder being small or big, all are equally affected by the rise in steel and cement price.

He said Prices are becoming steeper every month and it bleeds the industry. He expressed that all should voice together and make the government listen to industry’s major issue.

Soundararajan said Employable manpower is thin today. He recommended setting up a Skill Development Center to train workforce.He said CEBACA can consider aiding innovation reachs Small scale industries.
