Minister inaugurates advanced Med-equipment at KMCH General Hospital

Minister for Electricity, Prohibition and Excise V.Senthil Balaji inaugurated three new state of the art Radio imaging equipment that comes under the Radiology Department at the 750 bedded KMCH Medical College General Hospital on Sunday.

The Equipment include state of the art Cath Lab, MRI and CT Scan that will primarily be used at the Radiology Department.

The inauguration took place in the presence of Dr.Nalla G Palaniswami,Chairman, Dr.Thavamani D.Palaniswami, Vice Chairman, Dr.Arun.N.Palaniswami, Executive Director, KMCH.

Speaking at the event, Dr.Nalla G.Palaniswami said that this is a momentous day for the General Hospital at KMCH, as the Department and 3 important medical equipment have been inaugurated by the Minister.

He underlined that KMCH is a corporate entity, and it is the first time in India that such an entity has launched a Medical College General Hospital with 750 beds, that includew state of the art equipment.

Whatever treatment could be given in the KMCH Main Hospital, the same could be given here, what except for private wards. Depending upon the financial state of the patients, certain advanced procedures would be provided at either free of cost or at a concessional rate. He also added that the hospital is keen on offering help via CM Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme.

He also expressed that the DMK led Government is doing a commendable job in handling covid, and he appreciated the efforts taken by Minister Senthil Balaji in the development of Coimbatore district.

Appreciating the efforts taken by KMCH, the minister said that it is an excellent initiative to set up a General Hospital that can benefit lakhs of people.
