Dr. C.A. Vasuki, Secretary and Director of Kongunadu Arts and Science College, Coimbatore has been nominated as the Treasurer of the State level committee which has been constituted for celebrating ‘Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago Address 125th Year’ celebrations of which were held at Ramakrishna Mutt in Chennai.
The gathering was welcomed by Vivekananda Cultural Centre in-charge Swami Shashishikananda. Swami Yatatmananda, President, Sri Ramakrishna Mission, Salem cum Vice Chairman of the State Committee presided over the function and delivered the presidential address. The other Vice Chairman’s of the State Committee N. Ravi, Director, The Hindu, K.N. Ramasamy, Director, Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan, Chennai, Shankar Vanavarayar, Joint Correspondent, Kumaraguru College of Technology, Coimbatore also participated in the inaugural ceremony.

Swami Vimurtananda, Manager, Ramakrishna Mutt, Mylapore co-ordinated the entire proceedings of the meeting. The Celebrations are scheduled to commence from Sep 2018 to 11th Sep 2019, throughout the 34 districts in Tamilnadu including Pondicherry. About 10 Lakh School and college students and general public are expected to participate in various competitions.
This effort of Ramakrishna Mission will definitely help in eradicating the prevailing social unrest and non-co-operation among people in the country and will inculcate religious harmony and patriotism among the school and college students and public.
