Siruthuli to ecologically restore Noyyal Basin

Siruthuli, an Eco- sensitive Non-Governmental Organization has taken the initiative to restore the Noyyal Basin ecologically. The five important goals of Siruthuli- Water Resource Management, Afforestation, Solid Waste Management, Wastewater Treatment and Awareness generation.

Celebrating the WORLD ENVIRONMENT DAY this year (5th June) the theme was ‘Beat Plastic Pollution’. Based on this theme, Siruthuli is planning to collect used PET bottles by setting up Kiosk points at all Annapoorna, Anandhaas, Haribavanam group of hotels, Indian Medical Association Office and other Hospitals like Ganga, GKNM, KG Hospital, Ramakrishna and Brookfield’s Mall across the city for 3 days starting from 5th– 7th June, 2018.

These used PET bottles towards the end will be reused for building a model toilet in the Noyyal Life Centre-Sungam By-pass road Coimbatore which will serve as the first Eco Construction in the city. This is a simple initiative by Siruthuli towards preventing tons of plastics forming landfills in the city.
