NIA raids homes of City residents

Coimbatore: National Investigation Agency officials raided five homes in the city following the murder of Hindu Munnani spokesman C Sasikumar on September 22nd, 2016.On Wednesday, houses of Arif,Ajish, Bipin Rehman, MD.Ali and Saddam Hussain located in different parts of the citywere raided by the NIA teams. Officials said, “As per the phone call recordsthe five had spoken to the accused in the Sasikumar murder case.
The raids which began in the wee hours of the day saw documents and other records being throughouly checked to ascertain if these men had any connection with banned groups or their connection with the guilty men. Arif was taken to his earlier workplace at Kannampalayam following the raid at his place

One Febin Rahman of Selvapuram submitted a petition at the Coimbatore Commissioner’s office last week alleging torture by NIA officials.

The CB-CID team which is dealing the case has arrested Syed Abudhakir, S Saddam Hussain, Mastermind Mubarakand S. Zubair.All accused are members of Popular front of India (PFI).

Abudhakir and Saddam Hussain are out on bail while Mubarak and Zubair are lodged in the Salem Central Prison.
