Coimbatore City Ladies Circle 16 with the help of funds raised by Ladies Circle Switzerland set up and inaugurated their Crimson unit at Santhippom Welfare Society, Tiruppur recently.
Project Crimson by Ladies Circle India is an Endeavour to set up sanitary napkin manufacturing units across India with a vision to empower women with a means of livelihood and making affordable sanitary hygiene available. It was adopted as the International Service Project 2019-2021 by Ladies Circle International.
Project Crimson at Santhippom is a dream come true to provide empowerment to HIV positive and disenfranchised women from remote sections of society while at the same time addressing the problem of period poverty.
The Crimson unit was inaugurated in the august presence of National President, Ladies circle India Cr. Swapna Rajesh, Area 7 Ladies circle chairperson Cr. Priyanka Saberwal, past National President Nidhi Gupta, National Advisor for Project Crimson Rohini Sivalingam, Chairperson of Ladies circle 16 Cr. Pallavi Bafna, trustees of Santhippom welfare society and all members of ladies circle 16 and NMCT trust. In addition, Ladies circle Switzerland President and board members of Ladies circle International attended the event live via zoom.
