The NSS team of Rathinam College of Arts and Science organised a ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ in the college premises recently. This initiative was taken with the association of Ooruni Foundation,Chennai.
R. Manickam, CEO & Secretary of Rathinam College of Arts and Science offered felicitation. A.V Ramesh, Head of EPC and EPY Company Robert Bosch, Coimbatore addressed the gathering. Chandra Sundaresan, Center Head , Chennai and Coimbatore, highlighted the values of planting trees and maintaining it for the soceital benefit , especially for the benefit of upcoming generation.
750 plants were planted inside the Campus with 20 different species like Neem,Maruthum,Mayflower,Peepal tree and Almond Tree. In this program all the First year students of Rathinam College adopted two plants. for each.In this program the Students, Faculty members, Ooruni Foundation and UST jointly took the pledge to ‘Save the Tree and Save Environment’.
