CODISSIA appreciates Union Budget announcement

Coimbatore District Small Industries Association – CODISSIA appreciated the Union Budget presented by Nirmala Sitharaman, Finance Minister of India on February 1, 2021

M.V. Ramesh Babu, the President of CODISSIA said in a press release that this Budget has taken a huge dimension emphasizing on six pillars schemes viz. health and well-being, physical, financial capital and infrastructure, inclusive development for aspirational India, reinvigorating human capital, innovation and R&D and minimum government and maximum governance.

He appreciated the allocation of Rs. 15,700 crore to MSME Sector, reduction of customs duty on Iron and Steel, announcement of Seven textile parks, Rs.62,000 crore allocated for building Metro Phase 2,further infusion of Rs 20,000 crore for public sector banks, increase in agriculture credit target to Rs 16.5 lakh crore, total budget outlay for health care Rs.2.23 lakh crores; in addition to National Health Mission, Rs.64,180 crore will be invested over 6 years to improve primary, secondary and tertiary healthcare; Rs.2.87 lakh crore for Jal Jeevan Mission, Rs.35,000 crore for covid-19 vaccines. Rs.1.10 lakh crore for Railways of which Rs.1.7 lakh crore is for capital expenditure, seven projects worth Rs.2,000 crore in PPP mode for ports, Rs 3.05 lakh crore outlay for power sector.
