– Iraianbu IAS at SREC’s orientation program for freshers
Sri Ramakrishna Engineering College held the orientation program for its first year B.E. and B.Tech students virtually. The Chief Guest for the occasion was Iraianbu IAS, Additional Chief Secretary, Director Anna Institute of Management Chennai.
In his address to the students, the chief guest highlighted on using time judiciously in life. According to him, life is not a 100 meter race but a marathon where one should be active, alert and enthusiastic throughout the race. Drawing examples from the life of great men like Gandhiji and Abraham Lincoln, he insisted on hard work and commitment.
He further urged the students to read newspapers, develop out of the box thinking skills, have good friends, be creative and relate engineering to life. Finally, he concluded by reiterating the students to use the electronic gadgets diplomatically. His talk created a great impact on the fresher.
N.R Alamelu, Principal, SREC welcomed the gathering. D.Lakshminarayanaswamy, Managing Trustee, SNR Sons Charitable Trust, Coimbatore delivered the Presidential Address.
