Sept 2 is the birthday of Hollywood star Keanu Reeves. He is very popularly known for playing the character ‘Neo’ in The Matrix and the titular character John Wick.
Apart from being a movie star, Reeves is a producer and a bike-lover. He set up a cancer foundation, after his sister Kim battled with leukemia. His foundation provides support to children’s hospitals and funds cancer research. He has kept this out of the public and media’s eyes for a long time, but the media found this sweet act of kindness eventually.
“I have a private foundation that’s been running for five or six years, and it helps aid a couple of children’s hospitals and cancer research,” Keanu said in a Ladies Home Journal article from 2009, according to Snopes.
“I don’t like to attach my name to it, I just let the foundation do what it does.” Besides earning millions, Reeves has earned the respect of the public and made a name for himself in Hollywood. He has given more to charity. “Money is the last thing I think about. I could live on what I have already made for the next few centuries”.
Reeves has given lots of hit movies and his famous John Wick series 4th part is coming in May 2022.
