Hindu Economic Forum donates 1 lac masks; pledges food support till lockdown’s end

With the timely extension of lockdown in India, the Tamil Nadu Government is taking all possible measures to eliminate Covid-19 from the State.

To assist the Govt in its initiatives, the members of the Coimbatore Chapter of Hindu Economic Forum met Minister S.P.Velumani on Wednesday at the Coimbatore District Collectorate and handed over 1 lac washable and reusable face masks of export quality performance fabric.

These masks will be given to police conservancy workers and frontline workers through the Govt.

The Coimbatore Chapter of the Hindu Economic Forum is running two central kitchens in Chinnavedampati in association with Sreevatsa Lunchbox and CMS Trust.

On a daily basis, the Chapter prepares 1500 meals, and with the support of Govt Revenue Authorities, the food will be given to the migrant workers and Needy till the lifting of lockdown.

The Chapter aims to provide 60,000 meals during this period.
