PM discusses with CMs, gets views about  extending National Lockdown

Prime Minister Narendra Modi held a video conference with the Chief Ministers of Indian States on Saturday to get their feedbacks on whether the current Lockdown in India has to be extended after the already announced deadline.
According to sources, through initial visuals, CM of Punjab, West Bengal, Maharashtra, UP, Haryana, Telangana and Bihar were seen interacting with PM virtually.
This is the second time the PM held a discussion with Chief Ministers. As the number of covid cases have crossed 7500 in India with 251 deaths, there is a request from States to extend the lock down.
The PM already spoke with leaders of various parties on Wednesday and stated that lockdown will be lifted in a phased manner and not in one go.
It was learned that PM has said on Wednesday that States, District Administrations and experts have suggested extending the Lockdown.
