Be Calm…It is the Need of the Hour

In the present scenario, where competition is prevailing in every sphere of our activity, it is natural for anyone to loose one’s cool particularly when things are not happening in the way it is expected to happen. Further, suddenly COVID-19 has entered the world and creating lot of worries.

In such a situation, we have to have retrospection on ourselves. We have to analyze the pros and cons of the prevailing situation. Health is wealth. We can do our job effectively only when we enjoy good health. Unfortunately, the virus is spreading across the globe and so we have to confine ourselves to our homes for a certain period.

Being cool and calm will help us to understand what best to be done. Spreading love and affection among the households will curtail the virus. How to do that? Stay at Home. Stay calm. Stay safe. Many of us believe in Almighty. We can sit and do prayers. We can chant slogas in our houses.

We can sing Bajans. We can listen to devotional music and any other good songs. Positivity in us should not diminish. We know our strengths and weakness. Or if we do not know it is the best time to do SWOT on ourselves. Take a sheet of paper. Jot down your strengths & weakness. Analyze the opportunities and the way to overcome the threat. Today Corona Virus is a threat. Government has issued lot of instructions.

We should take them as good guidelines and follow them strictly. We have a moral duty not only to protect self and family but our fellow beings too. We are tempted to step out. Children want to play in the open. There may be fights inside the house, particularly among the younger generation to roam around in their dream bike.

We have to understand that no one wants to curtail our freedom. We must be responsible citizens. We should set example to others by following self -imposed discipline. Just look at the plight of the street vendors, daily labourers, coolies, house maids, sanitary workers etc. There are many in our country who do not have regular savings. Many have not visited Bank Branches. They do not believe in the concept “A stitch in time saves nine”. Or it can be other way out. They do not earn sufficiently to save for the rainy day.

These are the people who face more hardship in addition to others. Many are still below Poverty Line. At this juncture we have to understand that migrant workers are also trying to go back to their villages. All possible measures are being implemented by the Authorities. Hence it is the duty of the educated to educate the underprivileged to understand the impact of the invisible virus. Many have not understood the seriousness of the disease. If educated people respect the instructions and act accordingly, the authorities will be able to take
care of the poor in a comfortable way. If we create problems by moving out, how the officials can help the needy.
So let us be a responsible Citizen. Let us collectively fight this situation. Let us not hear and spread rumours. This is not the time for making fun of the measures taken. Safety is important. The country cannot and should not suffer. We have to bounce back. We have to revive the economy. We have to move forward.

For achieving all this at the moment what is need is ‘STAY CALM’
