Rotary India Leadership decides to raise Rs. 25 crores for PM CARES Fund

Shekhar Mehta, Rotary International President Nominee (2021-22) through a video appealed to the Rotarians in India to contribute handsomely to the PM CARES fund.

He said “all of us are passing through one of the most trying times of our lives COVID-19 has hit us and the entire world is at a standstill. India is doing reasonably well because of the lockdown and isolation that the government has enforced we are comparatively safer. But thousands across the world are dying and multiples of that have been affected.  In India, the Government took right steps in the right time.

Rotarians too have done some yeomen service but not everybody has got an opportunity to serve. So I am appealing to Rotarians to ensure that nobody ventures out of their home during this lockdown period. Let us isolate, let us follow what the government is telling and in turn let us support the government.

Senior Rotarians have come together and suggested that we make a contribution of Rs.25 crores to PM CARES Fund. I urge all of you to make handsome contribution.” He shared the Rotary India Humanity Foundation’s link – https://bit.ly/2UDBFDy and encouraged the Rotarians to assist government.
