The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Kalaignar Karunanidhi Institute of Technology (KIT) organized a two-days National Seminar on “Role of Biocomposites for Automobile applications- Natural step forward”.
It was sponsored by Department of Science and technology (DST) Science and Engineering Board (SERB), Government of India.
The resource persons were Dr.B.Suresha, Head- Centre for Composite Materials Research (CCMR), Department of Mechanical Engineering, The National Institute of Engineering, Mysore; Dr.V.Krishnaraj, Associate Professor, PSG Tech, Coimbatore; Dr.Padmanabhan,Professor-VIT and Dr.N.Venkateswaran, Professor- Rajalakshmi Engg. College, Chennai.
The inaugural function was held in the presence of Indu Murugesan, Vice Chairperson, Dr.N.Mohandasgandhi, Principal, Dr.M.Ramesh, Vice Principal,KIT. On this seminar, the Making, Characterization and various applications of the Bio-composites was discussed. Especially, the various uses of Bio-composites in the field of Automobile were explained briefly. There are plenty of information’s about Bio-composites was delivered by the Resource persons.
