Spl-children take part in RCC Millennium’s Sports & Cultural fest

Rotary Club of Coimbatore Millennium and Vidhya Vikasini Opportunity School organized Attral- ‘SS.Jayalakshmi Memorial Sports and Cultural Fest’ in connection with International Day of Persons with Disabilities recently.

The fest was inaugurated by Rtn.PHF.M.Natarajan, President RCC Millennium. The participants numbering 300 were mostly disabled children from 12 schools. The sports and cultural events were specially organized for the children. In a press note received from RCC Millennium, it was conveyed that the club is interested in organizing this special sports event for all disabled children from various schools in Coimbatore as yet another signature project of them every year.

The members of RCC Millennium visited Vidya Vikasini Opportunity School to have a look at their books making unit, paper plate making unit, baking unit and Goshala shed. The members found that the school is manufacturing the products and it is self-sufficient for their requirements. These products, being manufactured and maintained by the support of special children has created a great and different experience among the members.
