Kongunadu Arts and Science College Institution’s Innovation Council celebrated Innovation day on 15.10.2019 at Kongunadu Arts and Science College. By keeping in mind the Birth Anniversary of Bharat Ratna Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam, council organised four competitions such as Slogan, NEAT logo contest, Drawing, Idea writing related to innovations on morning 15 th October 2019 at the college premises. Entries for competition were invited from various departments.
About 177 students were participated in the above four events. Finally jury announced 3 winners for each event. The selected logo contest winners will be participating in NEAT logo contest organised by MHRD’s IIC. Day evening was ignited with celebration at KASC. The welcome address was given by Dr.V. Bhuvaneshwari, IIC-Convenor, KASC. The presidential address was given by Dr. M.Lekeshmanaswamy, Principal, KASC. Dr. V. Chinnusamy, Chief Executive officer, KASC inaugurated the gathering. Dr. S. Paulsamy, Dean R&D, KASC felicitated the gathering. Mr. Haresh Sakthivel, Volunteer &; Director of No food Waste, Managing Head, ThinkInk and CO-Founder Salai Nanbargal acted as a chief guest and inspired the students for innovation and entrepreneurship.
This day act as an eye-opener for the participants including Faculty members, Research Scholars, and young Students. The program culminated with vote of thanks and the rendition of the national anthem. Dr. K. Sowndhararajan, IIC-Innovation Co-ordinator, Dr. G. Anbarasi and
